The COMP Cams Xtreme Energy camshaft delivers enhanced street performance for Ford Small Block engines, providing strong midrange torque and horsepower gains with a smooth idle and responsive throttle—ideal for mild performance upgrades. Designed with improved midrange power and a noticeable idle note, it pairs exceptionally well with popular combinations like the Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold and TCI Saturday Night Special torque converter (1600–1800 stall). Featuring full-size base circles, this camshaft works seamlessly with COMP Cams Evolution hydraulic roller tappets and eliminates the need for dog bones and lifter retainers—components never intended for pre-1985 applications. This camshaft supersedes part number CL31-432-8, delivering a reliable and balanced performance upgrade.
Installation InstructionsWe will be temporarily closed from Monday 10th August until Friday 21st August 2026 while we relocate to our new premises and carry out our annual stock take. Our website will remain open and you are welcome to place orders during this period. However, new orders placed between 11th and 21st August will not be processed or dispatched until we reopen.
