his upper rear control arm replaces the factory stamped upper control arm reducing wheel hop and increasing traction. The S197 Mustang chassis uses a 3-link rear suspension system with a panhard bar to control the rear end under the vehicle. Under hard loads the factory pieces tend to flex and rubber bushings deflect leading to poor traction and erratic handling. Replacing the factory pieces with stronger well designed items eliminates this flex allowing for better control of the vehicle and improved traction during launches. This upper control arm is a direct bolt-on replacement which features greaseable high quality polyurethane bushings and on car adjustment. Quick and easy on-car adjustments can be made when needed with a simple turn of the wrench, there is no need to remove the control arm from the vehicle. Adjustment of the upper control arm allows pinion angle changes for suspension set-up and suspension correction when a vehicle has been lowered.
