The COMP Cams Xtreme Energy camshaft delivers enhanced street performance for Ford Small Block engines, producing very strong torque and horsepower gains with a smooth idle and responsive throttle—ideal for mild performance upgrades and heavy vehicle applications. Engineered for excellent low- to mid-range power, it performs best with proven combinations such as the Edelbrock Performer intake manifold and a TCI Street Rodder or stock torque converter. Featuring full-size base circles, this camshaft works seamlessly with COMP Cams Evolution hydraulic roller tappets and eliminates the need for dog bones and lifter retainers—components never intended for pre-1985 applications. This camshaft supersedes part number CL31-412-8, offering a dependable upgrade designed for improved drivability and consistent performance.
Installation InstructionsWe will be temporarily closed from Monday 10th August until Friday 21st August 2026 while we relocate to our new premises and carry out our annual stock take. Our website will remain open and you are welcome to place orders during this period. However, new orders placed between 11th and 21st August will not be processed or dispatched until we reopen. Please note: Any orders currently open and already in our system will continue to be processed as normal and will not be affected by the temporary closure.
