The factory intake tract on the 2022-2024 Honda Civic and 2023-2024 Acura Integra is very restrictive from the factory and limiting power output by choking the turbo. The new Injen SP1586 cold air intake opens up that intake tract with a massive 3.00in aluminum intake tube that transitions into Injen Technology's patented step-down process called, MegaRam? Technology (or MR Technology? for short). This patented MegaRam? Technology allows the engineers at Injen to fine-tune fuel trims and maximize power output. Directly after the MR Technology? step-down, the system briefly enlarges to 2.50in before entering the factory turbo inlet. This is done to maintain airspeed for improved throttle response. The longer tube found on this cold air intake also promotes increased power across the entire RPM band and not just at the top-end like the majority of short-ram and enclosed systems.
